This study was conducted to investigate the effect of storytelling on learning social skills and reducing anxiety in students. This study is an applied research in terms of its purpose. The method of conducting this study was semi-experimental and based on a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the present study included 340 female students from 7 to 12 years of age at Bahr al-Uloom In kerman city non-governmental school. In this study, the sampling method was available. And in the pre-test stage, the students were given questionnaires. Among them, those who received low scores from these questionnaires; 30 people were selected and then randomly divided into two groups of 15 people, control and control. The control group did not participate in 7 storytelling class sessions. But the experimental group received these 7 storytelling sessions. The data collection tools in this study were the Inderbitzen and Foster Social Skills Scale (1992), the Wells Anxiety Thoughts Questionnaire (1994), and storytelling in this study, which included 5 researcher-made stories that were approved by reputable professors and psychologists. In this study, descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Mean, standard deviation, and variance statistics were used. Hypothesis analysis was performed using the multivariate covariance test. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 software. The results of the study showed that storytelling has an effect on learning social skills and reducing anxiety in students
